The Encyclopedia of Creative Cooking, Weathervane Books, 1982, is a comprehensive encyclopedia of culinary knowledge with approximately 2,000 recipes and 800 full-color photographs, covering appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, soups, main dishes, breads, salads, desserts--anything and everything to do with food. It was compiled by Jane Solmson and edited by the late American chef Charlotte Turgeon, known for translating and editing the first English-language edition of the Larousse Gastronomique.
