Boyd Autobody and Glass invite applications from qualified individuals for the position of Payroll and Benefits Administrator (Part-time 20-30 hours a week) The position performs a variety of payroll administrative duties for the company.

Boyd Autobody & Glass at the head office is providing:

Payroll and benefits Administrator duties and responsibilities are the following:

Payroll Administration
• Primary person to deal with employees for time and attendance and payroll related issues.
• Prepare Letters of Employment for all employees
• Processing of bi-weekly payroll to include:
o Validates time sheet for accuracy and completeness.
o Data entry of all personnel transactions such as new hires, terminations, leave of absences, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc.
o Provincial and Federal taxes, including monthly and year-end reconciliations (T4, etc.)
• Prepare and maintain related payroll reports, including but not limited to seniority lists, bonus, vacation entitlement and accruals, sick time accruals, record of employment, income tax forms and remittances
• Adhere to all applicable federal and provincial regulations
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate and comprehensive personnel records
Benefits and Pension Administration
• Primary person contact for employees for all benefit-related issues
• Administration of employee benefits programs (Blue Cross), including processing new applications and changes of information for medical, extended health, RRSP and municipal pension plan
• Perform other related duties as required by immediate supervisor

Qualifications:
• Previous or current post-secondary education in payroll administration and/or three years of recent related payroll/accounting experience.
• Holds a Certified bookkeeping or accounting /or Payroll Designation or related.
• Solid working knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel, Cerdian payroll
• Criminal Record Check will be requested.

Hours: Part-time 20 to 30 hours per week: Monday to Friday (Hours are flexible).
Rate of Pay: Hourly Rate
