The Front Office Manager serves as the property Manager on Duty and oversees all property operations, ensuring that the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures and strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department

A successful candidate will be required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervises and manages employees. Manages all day-to-day operations. Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees’ absence.
• An active participant in yield management. Manages inventory and rate positioning on all online booking channels
• Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to support property operations and goals and to expedite the resolution of any problems that may arise through the general operation of the property.
• Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed to assist in the financial management areas of department.
• Responsible for the training of all team members within the department
• Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests by clearly communicating and resolving challenges to ensure guest satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position required at a branded hotel
• Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
• Post-secondary education in Tourism and Hospitality or equivalent hotel experience is a definite asset
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
