About Campion Marine:
Campion Marine designs and manufactures recreational fiberglass boats from its facility in Kelowna, BC. The company is recognized as Canada’s largest independent fiberglass boat builder and is known for manufacturing high quality products at an exceptional value.

Accounting Clerk
Campion Marine has an immediate opening for an accounting clerk. This is a permanent full-time position. This individual will report directly to the Controller of the company and work closely with general management to support day to day operations.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Management of the accounts payable function, including ensuring the appropriate approval of invoices and accurate coding, entry and payment of vendor invoices, driver trip summaries, capital expenditures and employee expenses;
• Preparation of cheques and wire backup for approval;
• General administrative duties, including mailing and filing of invoices and payments;
• Reconciliation of Canadian and US petty cash, bank accounts and credit card statements;
• Preparation of bi-weekly payroll in Payworks and ensuring the authorization, completeness and accuracy of employee hours, including any changes, overtime, taxable benefits and deductions in accordance with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements;
• Journal entry creation and data entry into Great Plains as required;
• Preparation of month-end accounts payable reports and accruals;
• Responding to queries from both internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner;
• Supporting the accounting team and various internal clients as directed;
• Customer service assistance, as needed;
• Other financial duties and special projects as required.


Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in the Canadian Payroll Association preferred
• Certificate/Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in full cycle accounts payable and payroll processing
• Basic understanding of Great Plains accounting system and Payworks preferred
• Effective attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Excellent teamwork and team building skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and written
