Ertl released this 'Elite' piece in 2005. 'Elite' pieces are distinguished by the 'swoop' shaped display window packaging and the monogram 'Elite' in script on front of packaging .
The American Muscle 'Elite' division of Ertl is well known for both the exactness, and detail of production.
This piece has been displayed in my home for 17 years inside a sealed display case, and away from any outside sunlight .
Both packaging and model are mint.
