Resident Care Attendant (On call/Casual)

inSite is looking for casual Resident Care Attendants to work at Brandt's Creek Mews in Kelowna!
KEY DUTIES
•Responds to scheduled and unscheduled requests from clients for assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and treatments at times that respect client choice as outlined in the Care Plan. Reports critical incidents and unusual occurrences to the Program Coordinator;
•Involves clients wherever possible, and to the level of their abilities, in personal grooming, bathing and dressing. Participates in care planning and care conferencing as requested and contributes information that supports client involvement and choices related to their care;
•Performs delegated procedures including vital signs, suppositories and enemas, obtaining specimens, non-sterile dressings, surface ointments and skin creams. Records observations and reports problems, or changes in conditions, to the Program Coordinator. Uses medical equipment safely and reports malfunctions to the Program Coordinator;
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
•Graduate of Resident Care Attendant or Health Care Assistant program
•Current First Aid certificate
•Food Safe certificate
•Skilled in delivering personal care services and activities that respond to the needs, functional ability, interests and choices of clients

Wage: $19.50 per hour
